Role – Test Engineer

Project: This project is within an agile and DevSecOps environment. The candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, automating, and performing end-to-end testing of the Cybersecurity tooling platforms.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Liasing with the product design and Service Desk teams to determine product testing parameters
• Delivering and performing integration, regression, stress, load, and performance testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance before integrating into software delivery pipelines
• Troubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures
• Design and deliver the QA and test procedures and testing strategy for the Cybersecurity tooling platform
• Training the team and providing technical support when needed for all testing/QA related activities
• Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards
• Reporting defects found in testing diligently, promptly, and accurately, using standard defect tracking tools
• Preparing test reports for management
• Propose new technologies and techniques relevant to quality assurance and testing
• Provide leadership and technical guidance related to quality assurance and testing to support the team

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

 

• At least 5 years of experience in using automated testing tools, such as Apache JMeter, python Locust, Thousand Eyes, Application Dynamics, etc
• At least 5 years of experience in designing manual and automated testing strategies, including unit tests
• Knowledge of Vulnerability Scanning / Penetration Testing / Red Teaming and associated scanning and consolidation products
• Familiarity with application security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, MAST, etc)
• Familiarity with Governance, Risk & Compliance processes
• Familiarity with Agile software development, DevSecOps delivery processes and supporting tools, e.g., JIRA, Confluence, GIT, etc
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools e.g., Jenkins, CloudBees
• Automation and orchestration driven mindset
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment with a proven track record of delivering and completing assigned tasks as an individual and as team
• Willingness to continuously learn and share learnings with others

 

Nice to have:

 

• Previous experience as a full stack engineer
• Previous experience as a developer in Python, ReactJS
• Previous experience with Microsoft SQL
• Previous experience with API development and familiarity with REST and HTTP protocols.
• Ability to identify exceptions in application logs and perform an initial triage
• Previous experience with Cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc)
• Familiarity with containers
