Team - We are developing a fresh UI, new framework, and workflow utility integration. You have a unique opportunity to join the hands of a result-driven team to analyze, develop and deliver global solutions to maintain or change our IT systems with our business counterparts. As an IT quality & test engineer, you'll play an important role in ensuring the development methodology is followed and lead technical design discussions with the architects. Key Responsibilities:

 

• Build automated regression tests using Protractor/Cucumber/Selenium/Java/JavaScript
• Build automated API tests using RestAssured
• Improve the use of BDD syntax for consumption for automation
• Reduce the backlog of manual regression tests
• Build/improve the current test automation framework
• Improve current automation practices by introducing industry best practices
• Work with the test manager and existing testing resources to improve test automation capabilities
• Perform manual and exploratory testing in the areas where there is an absence of any automation
• Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-up, planning, reviews) and contribute as a test resource
• Actively analyse stories and tasks to determine tests written in Zephyr
• Execute tests and track and manage any defects to closure
• Capture test results and outputs using Jira/Zephyr and Confluence
• Assist in any performance testing activities
• Design, build and maintain an automation framework for testing the department's systems globally
• Manage, monitor and improve the infrastructure
• Develop custom tools and integrate with existing tools to increase engineering productivity
• Define the automation book of work, collaborating with the team to deliver efficiencies and productivity improvements via test automation
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels across the bank including international locations
• Comply with test strategy, testing standards, templates, and test plans

 

Your Background:

 

• Previously held a testing role
• An engineering or programming background, have worked in frameworks like robot, cucumber, selenium
• Scripting/programming experience with Protractor, Cucumber, Selenium, and Java /+Javascript
• Was involved in test automation for medium to large projects
• Have an understanding of Reference Data Systems and have an appreciation of Data Entities, Data Lineage and Data Governance
• Able to manage and lead QA efforts across multiple apps/systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide QA progress to IT and Business Stakeholders directly
• Proven delivery of performing functional testing to assess for accuracy, suitability, interoperability, functionality, and accessibility; and non-functional testing to assess for security, reliability, efficiency, reliability, maintainability, and portability
• Able to perform regression testing for projects, products, and PRV (Production Readiness Verification)
• Able to learn and adapt to business domains and apply test strategy to achieve high-quality deliverables
• Experience with API testing and open source Performance testing tools such as JMeter
• Experience with building and enhancing testing frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience with BDD and Gherkin-driven agile methodology
