Major provider of banking and finance software solutions seeks an experienced and highly articulate technical pre-sales professional who MUST have strong previous experience in the banking software sector ideally with knowledge of payments eg SEPA, BACS, SWIFT, Faster Payments, accounts payable/receivable etc

We are looking for an experienced Consultant to work on Payment Solution sales in the European region. You will work in a team with sales executives to understand the clients' requirements, prepare and give extensive product demonstrations and workshops.

Your role will be to provide your customers and sales executives with business and technical product advice, preparing RFI/ RFP response and proposals, effectively delivering software presentations and demonstrations to potential and existing clients. Working alongside the Sales Team, you will draw upon your expertise and help close out new business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Working in tandem with sales colleagues to close business opportunities
* Build and present customized demonstrations of the Software Payment Solution
* Develop an in-depth understanding of our customers' business, structure, practices, challenges and requirements.
* Establish and maintain a long-term strategic Account Development Plan
* Liaise with other departments (e.g. Product Management, Delivery, Marketing, Development) to build a virtual account team

Essential Experience Required:

You will have previous technical experience in enterprise level, application software with validated experience in solution selling with specific domain expertise in any one of the following areas: high value /RTGS, low value/ACH payments, international payments, SWIFT, SEPA, BACS, Faster Payments, payables, receivables or securities and investments

* Ability to develop proposals, demos and presentations for customers
* Able to present technical concepts in clear manner to customers through demos and proposals
* Ability to present solution to business and technology executives
* Strong verbal, written and presentation interpersonal skills using the MS Office suite (emails, documents, presentations), with rigorous attention to detail
* Strong presentation skills and public speaking
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mind-sets
* Experience in banking and payments and how banks process payments
* Understanding of software development life-cycle and technology

Previous experience of working in a technical sales role in the banking software field is essential and payments knowledge very preferrable. Any additional European language skills (Spanish, French, Portuguese)would be a major bonus but are not essential. Salary is potentially negotiable for outstanding candidates. Ability and willingness to travel to client sites in the EMEA region is necessary.
