Technical Architecture

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• Deep understanding of the architectural concepts governing the design of highly scalable and reliable data-driven applications for cloud environments and using cloud-based services and products
• Experience in engineering best practices such as: code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, test driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application security and accessibility
• 7+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience and familiarity with the following: JavaScript (particularly Node.js and React), Python, Restful APIs writing/using, databases (SQL, NoSQL, cloud-native databases, including Azure Cosmos DB and Azure Datamarts)
• Experience with container orchestration and technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic Cloud Kubernetes
• Cloud computing knowledge on the major industry players, particularly Microsoft Azure platform, architecture and tools (Azure App Service including Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage including Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Analytics Services, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure AI including Azure Cognitive Services and Azure Machine Learning) and general AWS knowledge
• Infrastructure knowledge including Single Sign On, LDAP, search-related technologies, and task automation
• Solutions and the Data Lake will utilize ML and AI capabilities, therefore experience in this area would be beneficial
• Hands-on experience integrating with third party software via API
• Knowledge of and experience with Agile software development process
• Energized by complex problem solving and ability to push the innovation on solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
• Excellent leadership skills and satisfaction from teaching/mentoring others
• Ability and experience working collaboratively and effectively in a team environment with technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders at all levels in an organization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing client expectations and influence senior technology and business executives on technology decisions
• Very strong command of the English language (both verbal and written)
