Role : Splunk Engineer

🔍 Responsibilities:

  • Manage engagement with internal client's customers from request initiation through delivery or closure.
  • Own design, build, and implementation of internal customer requests, focusing on testing and implementation planning.
  • Create and maintain documentation on Splunk environment changes.
  • Support Splunk platform and internal users based on prioritization.
  • Report on and ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.
  • Explain Splunk concepts and best practices to new users.
  • Identify opportunities for process or product improvement.
  • Contribute to operating practices for best use of Splunk.
  • Analyze Splunk environment to identify areas of improvement.
  • Ensure work aligns with team's governance and compliance obligations.


🎯 Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Splunk Enterprise, Universal Forwarder, and DB Connect.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships at all levels.


💼 Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Splunk ITSI, RHEL Linux, AWS, Jenkins, Ansible, scripting (Python, shell), and ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of Agile ways of working.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation, especially incident, problem, and change management.
  • Knowledge of testing principles.
  • Experience developing automation for Splunk environments.
  • Previous experience managing or delivering Splunk infrastructure into public cloud.
