Software Incident Manager
We are hiring for a high-pressure software development house that requires an Incident Manager to take control of “triaging” progress on the redevelopment of this highly popular tool.
Job Description:
The Software Incident Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the resolution of software incidents. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to quickly identify and resolve software issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in incident management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead incident response efforts and coordinate cross-functional teams to quickly identify and resolve software incidents
Communicate incident status and resolution plans to stakeholders and customers
Facilitate post-incident reviews and develop action plans to prevent future incidents
Develop and maintain incident management documentation and processes
Monitor incident metrics and provide regular reports to management
Work closely with development and QA teams to improve software quality and reduce incident rates
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
3+ years of experience in incident management or a related field
Strong technical background with experience in software development and QA (Ideally Javascript stack)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Experience with incident management tools and processes
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple incidents simultaneously
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Familiarity with ITIL framework is a plus.
