Our client is one of the largest Financial Institutions and Financial Services organizations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories.

Responsibilities:
- Experience, Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years strong data experience (ideally as a data architect part of an architecture function) – able to provide examples of business value created by use of a solid data strategy.
- Experience of producing good quality data modelling / data integration / data lineage / data designs.
- Practical experience of applying modern architecture: APIs, micro services, data foundation, analytics and ideally Machine Learning.
- Experience with High Throughput / Large Volume data processing systems, Storages (RDBMS, NoSQL, File Buckets), API’s, Data Lineage, Architecture Controls & Governance.
- A demonstrable breadth of experience in all parts of the technology/software development and project management life-cycles having undertaken many of the roles themselves throughout their career (hands-on capable).
- Practical and demonstrable experience of leading Cloud provider capabilities (preferably GCP).
- Excellent written and spoken communication & collaboration skills; ability to communicate with impact, ensuring information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
- Self-motivated, driven, influential and conscientious, understands what “owning” means. Has enthusiasm for their work.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Driving the implementation of data governance principles and controls, ensuring these are regularly reviewed and maintained.
- Accountable for data related designs, taxonomy, standards, documentation for the department.
- Provide consultancy (as required) producing documentation and technical solutions as appropriate aligning to IT strategies and standards.
- Facilitate sharing and alignment of knowledge and best practice with IT teams.
- Keeping abreast of data related technology trends and standards providing recommendations when appropriate.
- Acting as the departments IT data representative working closely with Surveillance & Supervision data governance and data leads as well as forums, communities and working groups within the wider organization.
