Director of Engineering - Advertising Technology
Vertex have partnered with one of Europe's fasted growing marketplaces to hire a VP Engineering to lead their Advertising / AdTech Organisation helping connect advertisers and merchants to consumers across the platform.
They're looking for someone who is able to run the business technology using the consumer activity data to enable a highly targeted and personalised approach for advertisers to interact and engage consumers, whilst also looking at various new initiatives for the company to increase the abilities of Advertising across the marketplace and product lines in real-time.
Reporting into the CTO, you'll be responsible for setting the strategy for Advertising across the company. Currently there is only a small % of revenue from advertising even though they own 80% Market share in their country, so this is an opportunity to have immediate impact to the business with changes in the short, medium and long term.
We're looking for someone with AdTech / MarTech experience, specifically with responsibilities of driving GMV and revenues through Advertising across the platform.
We're open to speaking with anyone who's worked with large Advertising and Marketing Budgets as the CTO of a successful AdTech Consultancy or someone who has grown AdTech internally for an eCommerce, Marketplace or similar.
Responsibilities;
* Own the revenue growth for Advertising with stakeholders across Ad Ops, Sales, Product, Marketing and Business Development.
* Create a strategy for increasing revenue, GMV and LTV across the marketplace
* Help developed off-Marketplace display ad tech from ground up and offer opportunities and suggestions of new technology and partnerships to support this.
* Creation of technical strategy to improve product listing ads
* Responsible for leadership mentoring and training, recruitment and growth of the AdTech Engineering team
