I'm looking to connect with candidates of proven pedigree in architecting and building software infrastructure on behalf of a Hedge Fund I am partnering with. The fund looks to attract talented technologists that pride themselves on technical excellence, clean code, have an inquisitive mind when building architecture, and adhere to the highest standards possible from a software coding standpoint.
As such I'm looking for a software architect to help lead, design and create a brand new distributed system for an elite trading team within the fund. The trading team in question operate in a collaborative and dynamic fashion, and their standards are geared towards ensuring they have the best in class, from alpha, to strategies to technology. They have cultivated a successful business through constantly evaluating complex problems, and evolving the solutions to these problems. This represents a fantastic opportunity for any technologist that have previously built slick robust systems capable of handling large numbers of transactions. Please note this does not need to be trading transactions, highly scalable system builds in technology are also of extreme interest. A rather pertinent point to note is the fact this system will not be built or replicate an ultra-high frequency trading system. This system is not about speed, it is about intelligence. Experience with low latency technology is therefore attractive but by no means essential.

Finally, whilst I don’t want to steer the emphasis of this role away from technology there is a mid to longer term chance this role will lead to quantitative research so if that is something attractive in the long term its worth considering.
